I don't know if it can be considered good or bad, but today the first Bots arrived:

Yes, I was intrigued when I noticed the bots.

And now MSN... why do they come now? Is it because there is a large number of posts, or lots of folks dropping by?
I don't know much about Bot Logistics... I added the URL of Alchemy Forums to Yahoo, Google etc when I set it all up, guess it take 2 months for 'em to turn up then?

Don't know if it is due to the Bots but if you google alchemy forums this site is in spot number 1!
It has been number 3 for a long time, and it feels nice to see it at the top!

Heh, it's number four on my search results. It'll take time for Google to fully spider the site and to gain proper PR to ascend in search listings. What you really want is to be number one whenever somebody searches "alchemy forum" or "alchemy messageboard".

I had seen the Google bot on here, but not the Yahoo. I like how the stats show that bots are here too, thats kinda cool.
From my understanding, Google has an unannounced system called a sandbox where all new sites are placed until its determined that they are legitimate. My first site was in there for about four months. My most recent project didn't spend any time in there.
I guess that to get out, you need to wait, and build your page rank. This can be done by adding more content that matches (keywords) the theme of the site, and other sites linking directly to the one in the sandbox.
I have added a link on one of my sites, pointing here.
And hey, if you've got a banner for this site, Ill gladly post it on another site Ive got too.

Dont know if you've heard but you can block them by adjusting the sites META Tags...
