fashionably late...

Post  m1thr0s on Tue Dec 11, 2007 11:12 am

Hey d (and all)...

Hey this is really cool...now I have someplace decent to go to when I finally get sick of hearing my own brain rattle...

Hope this forum survives the test of time. I'll try to contribute a little shameless self-promotion every now and then...not that I need the attention personally or anything.

I recognize a few faces...don't know some others...good to see you all here.

oops...my trip...ok...well mutational alchemy is my thing, a term I suppose I invented although the internet seems to have picked up on it faster than I have been able to plug the gaps. It isn't terribly complicated and is rooted in the 9 principle bigrams of the Tai Hsuan Ching (an ancient book of chinese philosophy that is annoyingly unavailable for the moment). It's other name would simply be Trigrammaton - though not Aleister Crowley's Trigrammaton exactly...rather the original Trigrammaton developed by the Chinese Sages at some uncertain point in time.

So this is all technically *Inner Alchemy* stuff and has to do with being able to disassemble and reassemble the *Body of Light* at an elemental level...the end result being one of expanding its rational parameters as far as mathematics will allow...further out than, say, the Tree of Life per se... There's a lot of Pythagorean numerology mixed in with all of this as it appears that Pythagoras was onto the same essential line of Inquiry as the Sages who developed Trigrammaton itself. There is even speculation among exclusive circles that the two groups may have been in some form of collaboration. We may never know this for certain but we do know that his work and theirs is a perfect fit and therefor of great interest to those who come to grasp its tenets...

That's about the overview...there's a lot more to say but not right here I think.

Oh there will be, and have been a little already, mutational alchemy discussed here so I am 100 % ok with self-promotion (in your case) since I am for unity amongst alchemists, not division. Anyway better late than never...

WELCOME!

Also, a nice avatar you got there!

Glad to see you joined the board m1thr0s!

Your work on mutational alchemy is very fascinating.

Heh, sometimes I have to edit a post 4 or 5 times before I get it right -- It's very annoying.

thanks BeautifulEvil - a LOT of work went into that puppy of course and not just my own by any means...I've just been lucky enough to sniff out the trail. And it's growing all the time...more stuff coming in almost daily.

Inner Alchemy has been in a stupor for who knows how long...too long though...it needs rigors the same as everything else...it needs standards and validatable criterion or it just falls off into mindless gibberish and that's not its proper place in the scheme of things...

So with a little luck and a little collaboration I may even be able to turn some of that around...time will tell.

Alchemists really need collaboration more than anybody I know. They need to get over their petty differences and start acknowledging and cashing in on their similarities i think.

Yeah, right on Man, we got to get this shit together Man!

LOL

I have had hands on experience with elitist jealousy of fellow alchemists and frankly I found it childish! It reminds me of Christians who kill, or Anarchists that vote...

that girl's eyes are bigger than her tits...that's disturbing.
On the one hand she's kinda sexy while on the other she would seem to be requiring the services of a skilled taxidermist...

while the rivalry between inner & outer schools of alchemy is nearly as old as alchemy itself, it has I think nowhere reached the level of unadulterated bile that we find between the *physical* vs *spiritual* camps today...an artificial distinction clearly bought and paid for by the *physical* alchemists who have, in their rush to obtain the defacto upperhand, deliberately betrayed one of the most identifying characteristics of all true alchemy...it's all *physical* or else it's all *bunk*...

So while they cling to this nonexistent distinction, the damage only partitions itself out evenly in all directions. I choose to ignore it and their petty little game altogether. Why the hell do we need *physical alchemy* now that the science of chemistry is well established? On the flip-side, the alchemy of discovering and embracing one's inner child is equally as obsolete now that masturbation has been breached as a multimillion-dollar industry...

The truth - as always - lies somewhere between the middle and the outside edge of all such petty bickerings.

what the hell is that in your avatar?
that's steve bennet's work...one of my all time favorite gif89 artists...karmastorm is (was) his website...brilliant stuff. Don't know what it is exactly but it's clearly "elemental"...also matches the color scheme of this forum... Cool

You made me change my avatar.

Taxidermy? :(

Ok you don't get cheetarah then. here's something more your size:

I agree with what you are saying here, by the way, only, I don't know enough about the alchemy community to really gauge how stupid they might be. I am finding myself more impressed with the idea of cellular level alchemy than the archaic stuff...perhaps that was mislabelled as spiritual when it is in fact only the subtle bodies working in harmony with the rest of the anatomy.

hey...I did say she was cute...for a mutant popsicle stick thingy...hehe...

I have a tough time with the whole language of alchemy in europe as well...I just can't get past the burdensome tonality of it all...I have tried and I still try but it's thick man...

Logos used to say that all this stuff had to be understood metaphorically or not at all and I think this is probably correct. For all kinds of reasons the language of alchemy was very heavily steeped in metaphor but you have to know the *keys* to make sense of a lot of it...and they are not all well known...or even known at all in some cases.

Yes, that is what I picked up on as well. That a significant number of oral transmission had been lost or that some of it can't really be written down at all except as a metaphor, and these metaphors advance with civilization, becoming outdated as technology and culture mutates.

There's quaint and then there's useful, and a lot of this stuff is just quaint and not helpful. The emerald tablet is strong though, it at least managed to spawn something powerful that didn't grow into a corrosive war mongering meme.

I think that Alchemy will have to reinvent itself to move forward but that isn't new...it just isn't especially easy. The process of reinventing oneself isn't all about the future...a lot has to do with reclaiming the past in lieu of the future and that's where things can get a bit tricky - particularly wth traditions that are cloaked in secrecy to begin with.

The key to all of this has to do with adopting a global perspective, omitting nothing. Alchemy has succumbed to extreme cultural bias and petty infighting to the extent that it cannot do its job properly in a global environment, so overcoming this will be vitally important. Our models and our rhetorics have to adopt a decidedly integrative asana (posture) or they will be doomed to be an historical relic and little more than this.

None of this is impossible but we do see a whole range of efforts aimed at reasserting a bygone era that no longer applies to issues vital in the here and now. These kinds of obstacles are not unique to Alchemy but Alchemy has to be one of the first to overcome them if it is to enjoy any kind of leadership in the Information Age.

Re: fashionably late...

Post  m1thr0s on Thu Dec 13, 2007 12:08 am

Would you start a thread to tell us more
about this Mutational Alchemy...?
possibly - although that is what Abrahdabra.com was attempting to do...

It's a little baffling - my systems are not obscure and their underscoring assumptions are all very solid and very transparent. I've written dozens of technical articles and compiled literally thousands of posts on one aspect or another...yet people still seem baffled by it all.

People don't come to me saying *this makes no sense* and then proceed to tell me why not. I don't experience hardly any actual disagreement at the technical or aesthetic levels, yet people seem to glaze over at the apparent immensity of its implications. Any fractal logic will probably encounter this same kind of problem I guess... But if I could garner more actual evidence of where the confusions lie, I would probably be able to do a much better job of addressing these areas.

So I'm playing it all by ear right now...

At it's most basic level, Mutational Alchemy outlines a methodology for *projecting* The Body of Light in a state of perfect balance and equilibrium with Universal Nature (defined in mathematical wholes)...so we are attempting to *raise the foundation* (to turn a qabbalistic phrase) by focusing *thought* through a system of elemental scales...very similar to musical scales...producing a very special kind of *music*. The theme of that music is called *Completion*, historically...so that is also what we are projecting...anatomical *completion* on a purely molecular and biorhythmic level. We are projecting *perfect being* at an anatomical level, using a very rigorous elemental guidelines to keep our experiments in check.

So it is essentially a meditation practice that works with light & sound properties of a very high order of intelligence and power (as implied in the hexagrams generally) to achieve exalted states of energy and self-awareness. In truth - the problem does not rest so much with the technique as it seems to revolve around the problem of an energy catalyst. Quantum Leaps that may occur in consciousness tend to require the vehicle of trance states or the whole thing falls off into intellectual confusion. These do not have to be extreme but they do need to be accessible. A thing like this really needs to be able to progress from *initiation* to *initiation*. It is my feeling that this is where my biggest challenge lies.

regarding the *catalyst*...

Post  m1thr0s on Thu Dec 13, 2007 12:51 am

some things have to be physically *imprinted* to be grasped cognitively. You could write a thousand books on the sexual experience and it would just be confusing to anyone who never got laid. It's just the way we are wired...

So I am confronted with the same issue with *completion* states which can only vaguely be grasped intellectually but are recognized instantly at the level of actual experience.

Historically hallucinogens have served in this capacity and I'm not opposed to this except for the fact that they are fickle...there are all kinds of problems with the hallucinogens and always have been...they are not the perfect control mechanism by any means...but on occasion they do get the job done.

Ideally we would like to find something offering us a better grade of control...volume up - volume down - tweak left - tweak right - all that sort of thing. Lately I have had a very strong feeling that the breakthrough here might very well come in the form of highly balanced energy resonation chambers of some kind - though I am not certain exactly what these might be channeling, or resonating. But we have some evidence of this historically...Tibetan Monks off in their *caves* - same thing in Celtic lands...special reverberation *caves* have been identified. I am almost certain that this must be an indispensible accessory we will have to come to grips with in order to make acellerated consciousness work a whole-on reality. Time-Chambers, essentially...

Yeah, you know I'm playing Satanist's Advocate here...

Here's a chance to start at Triangle One...

At abrahadabra.com there is just so much info and so
many images, one scarcely knows where to begin...
_____________

I think your 'Sex 101 Manual' analogy is very apt, but still,
a description of the elemental mechanics of 'the act' would
serve a novice as a reference point that could be revisited
from time to time in between 'hands-on' experiments...

Each time it would be re-read, it would
begin to make more and more sense...

Very interesting regarding the resonance chambers...!

I've done some empirical work with such structures and
I too feel that 'gong' of significance with the concept...

Could you suggest some initial 'drone frequencies'
that may prove to be worth examining...?

And please discuss relevant aspects of Mantras
as they would apply to your meditation system...

Something that has not been covered much at abrahadabra.com...

Great site, by the way...

I'm sure one could spend a lot of quality time there... Third Eye

not really. I would rather expect you might be able to tell me! It's not my area of specialization but I think if I began researching this I would want to also be examining the effects of neutransmitters on the brain and begin scanning parallels in sound. It is also possible though that the solution lies elsewhere such as biophotons or something and then we are looking for ways to increase output through environmental engineering. This area of work is not without a few precedents, so digging these out is probably a good starting point.

And please discuss relevant aspects of Mantras
as they would apply to your meditation system...
yeah...I was planning to come around to this...it's a lengthy conversation and there are certain things that need to be set up in advance.

Re: fashionably late...

m1thr0s, I thought during the periods of mental confusion my brain was actually attempting to rewire itself to accomodate the massive download, or the effect of being plugged into the higher power outlet rather than the lower outlets we are use to.

The same thing happens with a computer during defrag - you can't use it until it's finished, you just have to wait until all of the files are moved into their new spots and then the data is accesible. Not only accessible, but the hard drive works faster. In my opinion this is a natural effect and only requires good sleep and advanced meditation techniques. (I can explain mine, but I am not sure if it would work well for everyone)

Another thing that occurred is having all of my questions answered all at once. That's a lot of questions, and my brain was already reeling from the spontaneous rewire of my nervous system but I was already stuffing more info into it as fast I could get my hands on it, somehow, I felt like I would lose the effect so I was getting the feeling of being a kid at Toys R Us during one of those fantasy shopping sprees where you get to keep everything you can stuff into the cart. This has not turned out to be the case, I still have the upgraded processing capabilities I unlocked using the P'an Ku mirror (for those not familiar with it - it's the Tree of Life design with the hexagrams of the I Ching oriented over it) though they are turned down slightly.

I believe the effect is less dramatic because I don't feel an urgent need to use them. I was really actually terrified that I would lose my newfound capability so I thought while i had it I might be able to hang on to it by cognitively digesting very advanced texts and diagrams, somehow this would fuel the fire!

By the time I got to bed, on a few of those nights, it felt like I had giant snakes crawling around in my brain - hmm, and I was a little worried I would start running out of room, so I made a decision to avoid television and movies like the plague, so as not to waste any space.

Such extremism might seem silly but being intelligent is quite addictive, and being so intelligent that you can survive the people who fear intelligence, well, that's just interest in living to see another day....

BIOPHOTONS!!

Now there's a clever topic...better than the mitochondria tangent I've been on I think. Confused
