Hello, I'm new here
Hey, I just joined today and thought I'll post. I just recently got in to Alchemy and wanted to find a forum were I could discuss it. I've been reading Sorcerer's Stone A Beginner's Guide to Alchemy by Dennis Hauck. If anybody have any other suggestions for books I would love to hear them. Also I would like to here about any of the basic Alchemical ideas or what your interpretation of the Emerald Tablet is.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!
The emerald tablet is an interesting text. The meaning varies for each person, as the text itself is rather dependent on an individuals perspective and spiritual development. There are many secrets and hints in the text, and if you're not careful, you will miss them altogether!
Here's an interesting excerpt from the emerald tablet section on wikipedia:
To answer your other question: I don't know of any good books on the subject, everything I've learned in regards to alchemy has been harvested from texts and internet sources. However, I am planning on writing a book within a year or so. The book will detail the true philosophers stone: white powdered gold, or alchemical/occult gold (manna from heaven, fire-bread, etc).

Because of its longstanding popularity, the Emerald Tablet is the only piece of non-Greek Hermetica to attract widespread attention in the West. The reason that the Emerald Tablet was so valuable is because it contained the instructions for the goals of alchemists. It hinted at the recipe for alchemical gold, as well as how to set one's level of consciousness to a new degree.
