Wassup everybody. New guy here, but have been doing this stuff for a while now.

The 2 main schools of thought are the "Cinnabar Path" and the "Antimony Path"

1 of the keys to unlock both paths is Nitre.

The term "mercury" isnt mercury per-se, but a combination of things that produces this glowing substance that is the "mercury" that you need to proceed. Kind of like the fluid in Glow sticks, only this mercury has a blu'ish whit'ish glow like the moon.

Cinnabar path takes anywhere from 9 to 24 months, antimony is faster, then there's an even faster 42 day path, wet or dry.

Oh, and from being on allot of forums, there is allot of disseminators out there that lie about everything and try to keep those that are progressing away from the true Phil'os Stone. Im sure these bastards are here too, but thats ok since I've already learned how to disregard them

Hi, welcome to the forum. We're a pretty close knit board, so it may behoove you to post a small introduction of yourself. Nothing detailed or anything, just something for us to get to know you better.

The 2 main schools of thought are the "Cinnabar Path" and the "Antimony Path"
Now I'm not sure where you stand on this issue, but I believe there are many ways to create the stone. The first matter used can come from almost anything, aslong as you separate the principles and then recombine them alchemically. However some of these stones are naturally less powerful than the stones created from the antimony or cinnabar path, but they do indeed pass the test of transmutation and medicine.

1 of the keys to unlock both paths is Nitre.
Nitre is very important in alchemy. It holds a secret and special place amoungst alchemists. Some would describe nitre as being the secret fire, while others say it is just a magnet or attractor for the secret fire. Regardless, we cannot deny the absolute necessity of this substance in certain alchemy paths and operations.

The term "mercury" isnt mercury per-se, but a combination of things that produces this glowing substance that is the "mercury" that you need to proceed. Kind of like the fluid in Glow sticks, only this mercury has a blu'ish whit'ish glow like the moon.
I'm not sure about this because I've never heard of the cinnabar path yielding a glowing alchemical Mercury. This particular part doesn't glow from what I understand, but certain alchemical Sulphur's do indeed glow. If you take a look at the vitriol paths with either philosophical spirit of wine & vinegar or philosophical spirit of wine and aqua fortis, you should see mention of this glowing Sulphur oil. The color can vary often, based on the starting elements and matter, but often we hear it described as a glowing red water, or glowing red oil, a oil shining day and night. There is even mention of this Sulphur being reduced into a crystalline red stone (not the philosopher's stone). This is all mentioned in the book "Secrets of the Adepts." I think this glow can be roughly related to the phenomena of phosphorescence of metal sulfides.

Yes, the alchemy community is really eye opening once you start seeing all the internal strife and conflict. At this forum we try to stay away from all the drama of the community. We want to set a precedent to all the others, and really these "bastards" are not present at this board, and if they ever become present we may have to react to this by banning. I do not want to see this board become another victim of the high energy of the alchemy community, and that's a nice way of putting it.
