Have you tried this one?
No lab needed.

What it is: It seems to match all the properties of sulphurous acid (SO3). Isn't it wild how one oxygen atom makes such a difference.
On the one side you have sulphur di-oxide (SO2) and on the other sulphuric acid (SO4).
That reminds me, let me warn you up front. This will produce noxious sulphur di-oxide fumes that you don't want to breathe. And
don't take the oil straight but rather very diluted. The straight oil will kill you. I can tell you that from experience. (Just kidding.)
Now I've messed up the warning. "They say" it will kill you. I haven't experienced it personally.

You can read about this from Stirkius in Collectanea Chemica, or from a zillion other authors of formularies and what-not.

If you're familiar with MMS, this heals all the same things and has all the same effects. But being an alchemical essence, you don't
need to eat grams and grams of this like MMSers do. Just a couple drops, so you save a lot of money. A five pound bag of sulphur
(sulfur?) will last you a long time.

My personal experience: this is great for overall health. You won't get sick if you take this regularly. It relieves aches in muscles and
joints. I've not had arthritis, but i hear it's great for that. I did have a bruised wrist that didn't heal for a while and so kept bothering me
and this healed it very quickly - like within a week it didn't bother me anymore. I had a nervous spasm or twitch in the muscle under my
eye and this stopped it and it never came back. This makes your teeth feel really clean and it whitens them. (Sulphurous acid is used as
a bleaching agent in industry. Be aware of that when you're burning the sulphur. The gas and the oil will bleach things. The diluted oil
etches plastic (a funnel I used).

My personal method: I never made the pure oil, so I can't tell you about that from experience. I always collected it diluted since it was
easier and I was going to dilute it anyway to drink it. For the "bell" (they also call this "per campanum" because they collect the fumes
under a glass bell) I found a large glass bulbous lamp base at a thrift store. Some stores sell large vases too that you can turn upside-
down. I got some sulphur from ebay, put some in a ceramic coffee mug which rests on a plate that is at least as large as the diameter
of the base of your glass bell so it will catch anything that falls. One reason I always collected it diluted is because when I left the space
at the bottom for air so the sulphur would stay flaming, the fume always came out. So I didn't leave the space so I couldn't collect as much.
So I'd melt my sulphur in the microwave (keep an eye on it. you don't want it in there too long. just enough to just melt it.) and then take it outside and light it with a propane torch, set it on the plate and quickly put my bell over it, all the while covering your mouth and nose so
you don't breathe the SO2. Once it's under the bell, you're safe. Watch for leaks. Anyway, a beautiful fog would fill the bell until it was
opaque and the sulphur would burn out within, oh, 30 seconds. Then you just wait for the fog to clear/condense onto the sides of the
glass (sometimes 3-4 hours). It helps to do this in cool, wet weather. When it's clear, lift the bell and turn it over. Be careful - you can still
catch quite a whiff of sulphurous vapors that aren't visible, so let it breathe a bit. What you want is on the walls. Just pour some good
water or distilled, into the bell and rotate the bell so the water gets to collect all the condensed oil on the walls. Then pour your water from
the bell through a filter into a corkable wine bottle or appropriate vessel.

How diluted? Well this may not be the most scientific procedure, but Starkey describes the sharpness of it - "It is a pleasant remedy,
having only a little sharpness, which to the palate is most grateful." In a couple places he says, "of the sharpness of vinegar". So that's how
I based my dilution. I collected the oil from the walls with about a cup and 1/2 of water. This is pretty strong. So I just add water until it
gets to the sharpness of vinegar.

A couple other personal experiences: my lungs could breathe deeper and easier. I had a stuffy nose once and so I put some in a cup and
sort of snorted it upside down like drinking through your nose until it hit the sinuses, and my nose cleared up and I didn't have to keep
wiping and blowing all day.

So my 1 burning or bell-full of fume would make about a liter of properly diluted oil, which I called sulphur water. Oh yeah, I kept it stronger
in the bottles and added water when I poured it for myself. I like it a little stronger or sharper than vinegar. It really gave me a nice
boost too, energetically and mystically somehow.

I played around with the method of collection. Sometimes I sprayed water on the inside of the bell before lighting the sulphur. I also rigged
a pump to blow air into the bell without letting it leak. But for all the trouble, it was simple and good enough to just collect it diluted. It
lasted me a week or two. I made lots for friends and family. It's fun to do - just takes a minute. And the mug full of sulphur lasts 6 months
to a year. Compare to MSM (wiki says: for arthritis, 1500mgs a day; for allergies, 2600mgs. Another site says the average dose is 2000-
6000mgs a day. That's 6 grams compared to Starkey's two drops.

So it's a great medicine and great preserver of blood and tissue and wines and beers and flesh, so it stands to reason that this will
lengthen your life. Check it out.

Ah most interesting, I've never tried this before, but it reminds me of "burning things by fire" in a bell to obtain a volatile oil which is supposedly most beneficial. Most of the old masters mentioned such processes. I believe this process can be performed on all three realms of the alchemy world.

For sulfur what kind did you use? I've been thinking about buying some high quality yellow native sulfur crystals. Some alchemists think using commercial sulfur is useless, and only sulfur from natural sources is useful because it often contains certain "impurities" which is lacking in refined or processed sulfur.

I didn't use crystals or crushed mineral - just commercial powdered sulphur.
In this case I don't think there's anything alchemical about the medicine, except for the
homeopathic amount needed compared to MSM, and perhaps the volatile nature - the small size -
that allows ingress into the cells.
I'm pretty sure this is just sulphurous acid.

It may work wonders simply based on the pH thing. There's medecines that utilise pH and
affect wonderful cures - oxygen therapy, MMS (this is a 28% solution of sodium chlorite)...
something else I read recently about cancer cells unable to survive in high oxegen/alkaline
environment - cesium chloride...

Woah - I just noticed I was saying MMS in my original post and I meant MSM. These are two different medicines.
MMS stands for miracle mineral supplement and is sodium chlorite - not related to sulphur.
MSM is methyl sulfanol methane and has the same affects as the sulphur water/oil, but is much more bulk.

I think I read somewhere that this is dilute sulfuric acid.I don't know what the difference is between that and sulfurous.Anyway, here's a pic of the process and equipment. It's quite simple. You can see the bell has filled with smoke and is now opaque.

OIL OF SULPHUR PER CAMPANUM
Take a large iron vessel like a platter. Over it hang a glass bell that has a nose like the head of a cold still. Fill the lower vessel, being narrower than the compass of the bell or head, with brimstone or sulphur. Inflame it, so will the fume which arises from thence be condensed in the bell into a liquor which will drop down through the nose into the receiver.
Note that the bell must hang at such a distance from the other vessel that the flame of the sulphur touches it not, according to this following example.

the oil from sulphur-vive Jfren210

If instead of this broad vessel, you take a large crucible and melt in it saltpetre and cast sulphur upon it thus melted, you shall make a great deal quicker dispatch.
This spirit is of the same nature, and has the same operations, as oil of vitriol.

THE OIL OF SULPHUR IS MADE AFTER A MORE PHILOSOPHICAL MANNER THUS
Take of crude sulphur as much as you please. Put it into a melting vessel to be dissolved over the fire. Being dissolved, pour it forth into seething hot water (this do ten or more times, remembering that the water must be always seething hot) and you shall see that the sulphur will be like butter. Then put it into a retort, pouring on it the best spirit of wine. Distill it with a soft fire, and there will come forth an oil of a golden color, of a good taste and smell which is the true balsam of sulphur. The oil that swims on the spirit must be separated.
This oil for the cure of all distempers of the lungs, for all fevers whether putrid or pentilential, and the cure of wounds and ulcers, is scarce to be equalled.

THE ESSENCE OF SULPHUR
Take of sulphur vivum as much as you please. Dissolve it as well as you can in aqua fortis (made of vitriol and saltpetre). Then evaporate the aqua fortis, and then reverberate the matter until it becomes very red. Extract the tincture with spirit of wine, and then digest them until the essence be separated from the spirit like an oil and sink to the bottom.
This essence also is of wonderful virtue against all putrefaction both inward and outward, a great preservative against the plague, and is wonderful balsamical, and cures all sores both old and new, even to admiration.
