gematria
I'm studying the gematria of alchemical terminology this weekend.
Here's a taste of what I've found so far in just the latin gematria:
regulus martis - 174
mercurius vitae - 175
circulatum majus - 175
argentum vivum - 175
spiritus vini - 176

Re: gematria
Also looking at names of philosophers.
Here's a couple interesting ones:
Alexander Seton
Seton is an anagram for stone.
Alexander is hal ex andro, the salt out of man.
The salt out of man is the stone.
A couple philosophers mention this path - urine or blood.
I'm not familiar enough with Seton to know if this is the path he describes.
Andreas Libavius
Has to be a cabalist. Lib avius, bird lips...
speaks the language of the birds.
Nicholas Flamel
Nicholas means Nike laos, victory stone, or...
triumphal stone (of antimony). This is the path he describes.
