This is a pretty cool movie, as far as movies go.
In it, Keanu Reeves has a particular tattoo on his forarms that is the ultimate
protection or weapon against evil.
You may not know it, but this is an alchemical symbol of the perfected Stone.
Here's a pic:

Constantine Rick_s21

It comes from the Speculum Veritatis of the 17th century.
The accompanying text reads "The kings of the earth worship the Perfect Red King,
or sulphur of the philosophers, Shining Lord of the Three Realms."

I didn't really like the movie that much, don't care too much for Keanu so I actually missed the symbol. Now I'll have to watch it again (never seen the ending since I fell asleep)!

Interesting, I've never noticed that before. Actually, I don't think I ever even thought to look up what that symbol was. Which is odd, I normally would think to do so.
I like the movie though. I thought it was pretty good.
I also really like the look of that symbol now that I've really looked at it.

If I wasn't already famiiar with the symbol, I wouldn't have thought anything of it.

The three arrows at the bottom represent a triple fixing, like the three nails in christ's/chrysos body.

Speaking of fixation, why is it that the media has chosen to take
"Bill and Ted" and make him into the saviour of the world:
The Little Buddha
The Matrix
Constantine
and now The Day the Earth Stood Still.

He plays a saviour role in each movie!
I like Keanu. He displays a dispassion of sorts which is nice for these roles.
I just think it's weird for any actor to play the same role over and over.
Like they're trying to impress something on us.

It is really the same with most actors, they get typecasted.

As for The Day the Earth Stood Still I highly recommend the orginal film, sure the FX might not be as good, but FX isn't everything!
