Hello everyone,

I have always had an interest in occult and esoteric matters though its only been recently that Ive begun to actively follow my interests. I was led here by some amazing posts I had read on occult forums.com. My initial glance at this site and forum quickly persuaded me to join. Thank you, all, for your efforts here.

As said I am only in the early stages of my education. I have been studying numbers for a short while now and also learning about many other areas. Everyday a whole new world is opened to me.

Seems like you and I are the only ones online here at the moment.So welcome.
I've only been here a few weeks myself.This is the first forum I've joined in a while.I got disaffected with other sites but I liked it here because it seemed to have just thoughtful,knowledgeable people on it.
My thing is astrology...I'm only just learning about alchemy and as for numbers....thats something on my list to learn.Anything you can post about it would be great.
One of the philosophical underpinnings of astrology is Pythagorean philosophy or number mysticism....so I figure I should stop being so lazy and learn...

I've spent enough time with numbers to know there is definitely some strange stuff happening. Have you ever heard of gematria? I'm sure you've heard of numerology at this stage!

Im sorry I missed your post MonkeyBlood. It was very late here and Im lucky my post showed as coherent as it did.

I believe it was Beautiful Evil's posts I had seen on OccultForums.com which led me here. I recall a great post with many numbers and their associations. A job well done, my mind is still whirlling.

I was first introduced to Gematria last fall, from a book titled Math for Mystics. Ive always liked math but this opened many new doors.

I just took a glance at your EnglishGematria.com site, very nice. I too have written a calculator (can be found here) , but am still working on building a good word list.

As for alchemy specific, I just finished reading The Theatre of Terrestrial Astronomy by Edward Kelly (1676). A very interesting document, though I am still digesting much of what was written.

It was some of my most fascinating research involving numbers. I also posted my research on the abrahadabra forums. However, it wasn't met with much success there.

I'm still trying to solve the mysteries of gematria and understand the mechanism behind the phenomena. I've had times where I thought I solved the mystery and where I thought I knew how it worked, but I have my doubts at this point.

Hehe, maybe I should log onto my occult forums account and see if there have been any replies in that thread!

Oh, cool... I definitely had a real obsession with Gematrias at one time. I still love it... maybe we can all share notes. I, too, am fascinated by the mechanism of it all... What is it that embeds mathematical meaning clusters into these languages... Have you read David Allan Hulse's "Key of it All" series... that's important, as is Godwin's Cabalistic Encyclopedia... An important word is 'Isopsephy'. Google it if you don't know what it means....

Whats the thing about three? I have just lucked on to two other psychics to work with and the synchronicity of that number and these posts didnt escape me.
Why is it considered so powerful in magical workings?

Im sorry to have dropped off like that, but things have been a bit crazy lately. Dial-up is rough as it is but, add mountain telephone lines and its a recipe for frustration. I hope things pick up here soon so I can get back online. I will be back soon.
