tincture of antimony

Here's a process for tincture of antimony trisulphide:
Mix 1 part stibium with 2 parts sal tartari, both pulverised.
Heat to molten for 1 hour.

And here it is pulverised. You can see the little ingot of regulus that was left in there somehow
(it's on the edge of the mortar). I could still smell sulphur alot while pulverising:

Now it's digesting in Everclear for 24 to 48 hours (pour two fingers over).

Here's some little antimony glass figures I made before.
Just took the pic so I might as well post it here.
The glass was made with a mixture of stibnite and antimony trioxide,
but I didn't use the turkey burner so the temps weren't as high.

The pot on the left was an earlier burn of the stibi tartar mix without the turkey burner.
It melted but didn't stay in fusion for an hour.

I love the way you use the turkey burner. I've been thinking about this issue for a while now. At one time I wanted to build a small furnace using coal, but it's too much trouble. I would have to locate some fireplace grade bricks, and then try my hand at masonry. This would be neat, but not very practical. However, I really think I will borrow your turkey burner idea. I'm sure I can find one for CHEAP since it's basically turkey season.

Is this the tincture that make you feel kind of queasy?

Would it be possible to put it through another round of fire after you pulverized it? Do you think this would affect the product any?

No - I haven't tried this one yet. The queasy one was "m-state" from copper carbonate
dissolved in HCl precipitated with sal tartari.

Yeah, I found my turkey burner at a thrift store for 10 bucks!
Might be cheaper after the season - a lot of people get rid of them I guess.

I'll be able to try this tincture tomorrow. It's already tincted fairly red, darker than
the saffron color you see in the photos, and it's only been 12 hours.

Another similar recipe takes stimi and tartar equal amounts
and only fuses for a half hour.

You may also try leaving the mixed powders out overnight before the burn.
In the morning they'll be a nice paste from the moisture they pulled from the air.

I wasn't sure what temp to digest at. I have a crock pot that maintains 52 C, and that
seems to be doing fine. This other recipe, the one in this post, said let the alcohol boil a bit.
I'm not boiling mine and it seems fine.

Well, the tincture has a really nice energy in my opinion.
I've got it pretty red now. I'll post a pic when possible.
I don't have any medical problems, so I'm not a good guinea pig.
But I can say it doesn't make me feel sick at all - in fact it feels pretty
good - just nice energy - something like m-state.

You can make this without the sulphur from the trioxide and avoid
the smell (which is noticeable when you add the tincture to wine).
Sulphur has it's own medicinal properties if you want to keep it in there.
When I get some nice weather, I'll make some others - copper, iron, tin...

Hudson only mentions these "known" m-state elements: Cobalt, Nickel, Copper, Ruthenium, Rhodium, Palladium, Silver, Osmium, Iridium, Platinum, Gold, and Mercury. I'm not sure about any other the others (antimony, iron, tin, etc).

You're a bit more adventurous than I am. I'd be very weary of trying these. Even so, I'm pretty weary of plain gold m-state from Dead Sea salt. I'm a fan of the plants and herbs.

I'm sure you don't need me to tell you this, but take it easy & be careful! Heavy metal poisoning is not fun.

I read yesterday that copper m-state should be white and if it comes out colored (green-blue)
then you precipitated too fast. That's what I must have done - mine is a pretty aqua color. I'll have to
swing the pH again.

But, not to confuse, this tincturing is not an m-state process. It's exactly like an ens
but with metal oxides, carbonates or sulphides. Fusing with tartar extracts the sulphur of
the metal and then that is extracted from the alkali with strong alcohol into an unfixed tincture.
I'll try to extract with vinegar for a fixed tincture of antimony, which is supposed to be even better
I guess. I'm not sure - I've also read fixed tinctures for fixed diseases and volatile tinctures
for volatile diseases, or fixed tinctures for thick blood and volatile for thin...

To be clear - DO NOT INGEST THE ANTIMONY. Just the alcohol tincted with the antimony.
The tincture is the medicine. The antimony powder you are extracting from is still toxic. So filter it
or decant carefully. I decanted so as not to lose any alcohol in the filters, but the process I used
said to filter.

BTW - my friend has been taking this too and he says he notices a huge difference. When he works,
he has some tincture in his drinking water and he says he feels 80% better. I would guess it's the sulphur
part because I've experienced relief from sore muscles and joints with the oil of sulphur-vive I mention
in another thread. But that's 2 out of 2 good reports! I'll try to find some more guinea pigs.
Maybe some monks.

BTW - I tried to do copper oxide and iron oxide yesterday.
I need to play with my burner cause the temp didn't get high enough.
I may have to change from propane to something higher and mixed with oxygen.
