Sounds of Saturn
NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory posted a wave file of very eerie sounds from Saturn. These were recorded by the Cassini spacecraft. NASA says the radio waves are related to the auroras near the poles, which are very similar to Earth's northern and southern lights.
Check it out here: Wave File
I found it interesting.
Kind of like the study of planet life from FF7 (you remember.. right? Bugenhagen, the machine, and the sounds from earth?).

That is interesting. I'm working on the sounds of V.I.T.R.I.O.L, and I'll get back when it is done.
Can't say much more about it at this point.

OH MY!!!
You've never played Final Fantasy 7?
Re: Sounds of Saturn
Oh, yeah I have... but I forgot. I've forgot the names nor did I recognise the abbreviation FF7.
I'm not big on video games because there is no freedom in them - well there is - but I want GTA kind of freedom (and even this game is not free enough for my liking). Also I don't see any gold at the end... but these are just my tastes.
For entertainment I prefer a good film or book (and music of course)!
Although an alchemy game could be cool, but from what I understand it has already been included (somewhat) in World of Warcraft?

Re: Sounds of Saturn
Though tangential to the astronomical nature, a decent game discussing the Divine Marriage is Xenogears (as you can see, I reference this game a lot. Xenosaga was far, far less impressive and dead of soul, personally.). What rests at the end of a decent game with constraints are the same sort of restraints that we incidentally have come to understand with Saturn, such as the constraints of the medium or the world, adn then actively utilizing what remains available with those restrictions. A close-ended game has a quality not unlike the self-contained nature of the Vessel in alchemy, with of course different parts representing different stages in the process and the progression to the final confrontation. My complaints come from games that become difficult from poor programming instead of genuine content (See Sword of Mana for the former and the God of War games for the latter).

It's the same way here, but FF7 is my one weakness - it is precious to me!
Re: The Sound of Saturn
Have you listened to the Wave of the signwave recorded from the ancient carvings found within Rosslyn Chapel?

They found it makes the exact same wave patterns as carved into a plethora of the stone carvings found within the church...
