Liber 51 - "The Lost Continent" & Alchemy Empty Liber 51 - "The Lost Continent" & Alchemy

I would like to point out an interesting peculiarity in Liber 51 particularly in its relation to alchemy and the philosophers stone. You may view the full text at this location: http://www.hermetic.com/crowley/libers/lib51.html

In the early days of colonization Zro was only known in its crude state; it was the genius of a single man that obtained the third state in its purity. From this state to the seventh it moved almost of itself, very much as radium does. The genius, having sufficient in this seventh state, made a sword, and completed in three days the subjugation of the servile races. It was a stroke of fortune, this quickness, for on the fourth day the Zro began to disintegrate. The Magicians then began to seek a means of making this state permanent. But in this they failed,[16] so that knives had always to be replaced twice weekly; but in the course of their failures they discovered the infinitely more valuable eighth and ninth stages of Zro. Tradition has preserved a hint of their efforts in Alchemy with its problems of the fixation of the Universal Mercury, the secret of perpetual motion, and "potable gold --- the Universal Medicine." It has been theoretically determined towards the end of the tenth state, that Zro should be a solid, but whether this was confirmed is beyond my knowledge.

I would like to point out the mention of "perpetual motion" which could also be termed as "perpetual energy" or "free energy" if you will. If you've ever studied free energy technology you'll come to soon discover that a certain Dr. Henry Moray built an actual device that created a vast amount of energy from seemingly nowhere. Moray used a special stone or powder in his device. This powder acted as some sort of receiver for energy (or perhaps a radiator of energy). Various accounts of this mysterious powder/stone determined it to be soft, and white.

My conjecture is this: perhaps Henry Moray used monatomic white gold powder in his devices! That's most definitely what Crowley was speaking of when he stated "potable gold -- the Universal Medicine."

HEHE, I am thoroughly intoxicated with the search! So joyous!! Suspect

Yeah, I've searched most of Crowley's texts in regards to the philosophers stone, and the universal medicine. I've found a few things of interest, but oddly enough Crowley doesn't mention it much.

Perphaps he was not alchemically inclined?

Or he decided to use a different kind of vocabulary?

Crowley was reputed to have studied Arabian alchemy I think.

Or he decided to use a different kind of vocabulary?
Knowing Crowley, he would not have plainly revealed his knowledge on the subject. I think Liber 51 is fairly close to as "open" as it gets, although he does mention other oddities throughout his works.

Liber 51 - "The Lost Continent" & Alchemy Empty Alister Crawley

Post  The.Hermetic.Alchemist Sat Aug 02, 2008 5:53 pm

was not Alister Crowley actually a mason? I believe that freemasonry actually teaches alchemy, but they keep it secret, super secret. this is why you will not find Crowley speak much about anything concerning alchemy. if anyone here is a Freemason, please reply and let us know. they clam that freemasonry started during king solomon times, and is still around today!

The Freemasons have lost all knowledge about alchemy.
If indeed you are talking about alchemy practice, they are afraid.
The Freemasons have almost lost everything. They do not even know the true meaning of their rituals. They do not more work by themselves to make boards of study. They just want to advance in grades and become a Venerable of a Lodge a day.
The Freemasons most interesting are those who belong to other structures or who have left freemasonry after fifteen years.
The legend of the link between Hiram and Freemasons is completely false, like that between the Egyptians and AMORC.
Aleister Crowley was not included in alchemy and was content to make it a sexual interpretation that has no value.

are you saying that you are a mason? you might be right, they probably do not know what they are learning, and that is why they do not know how to use the knowledge. but tell me this, why is it that most of the elite are masons? and 33rd degree masons at that?

No, I am not a mason.
But I know a lot, some are even Venerable of their Loge.
Regarding the most of the elite are masons and 33rd degree masons at that etc. It means nothing of the spiritual point of view. This is a collection of titles, grades, exchange of recognition between different Loges.
It's more a club than a true place of initiation.

Crowley was not a Freemason. His name was never recorded in any bylaws of any lodge in England, therefore, even if he was initiated at some time into the Fraternity, he was not officially recognized as a Brother.

Most of the elite are Masons because it is a Fraternity where "all men are created equal". It is a social group where a man who is a gardner by trade can be Master of the Lodge, and the President of the United States who is a member of that lodge must answer to that Master. There are just as many, if not more, members of middle class and lower class society who are Brothers as there are "elite". The 33rd degree is conferred to someone who is an exemplary human being. You will find far fewer "elite" 33rd degree men than those who are not among the "elite".

If the men who are initiated into the organization "don't know what they are learning" then infact they are not learning it. They are learning something different.
